Taryn It Up is a 54 foot one of a kind Aluminum Hull built from modified Striker plans by Richard Squyres boat builders in Ingleside, Texas. At the time it was built, Striker didn’t have a yard in the US and boats couldn’t be documented unless they were built by a shipyard in the US. The plans were deviated from the Striker which has a concave bow; Taryn It Up has a convex bow which adds to the forward berthing area. Another great modification was the extra room in the fishing area (cockpit) and the enclosed air conditioned bridge (the majority of Striker sport fishing boats have an open bridge).
The air conditioned Salon of Taryn It Up can amply accommodate all of your guests in comfort (Note: Coast Guard Regulations allow only 6 people for Chartered Trips). There are two bathrooms (Heads), a kitchen area (Galley), and 6 bunks in 3 separate staterooms.
Guests are welcome to join the captain on the bridge (weather permitting) where there is seating to enjoy the cruise.
Your typical crew will include the Captain and at least one Deckhand (Mate). The crew are there to provide a fun, safe and successful fishing trip. The Captain will typically stay on the bridge and do his best to place you on the fish. The Deckhand(s) will do as much or as little of the baiting, rod handling, and removing the catch as you wish.
The Taryn It Up crew can accommodate any skill level fishers from children and beginners to Pro Anglers and VIPs. Additional Deckhands (up to 3 total) can be provided for special trips (for multiple VIPs or children) for a moderate charge ($85/additional deckhand/trip).
Texas Law requires you to obtain a TEXAS FISHING LICENSE with SALTWATER STAMP.
You and your guests are welcome and encouraged to bring any food or beverages on board. There is a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and a Jenn-Air stovetop/griddle located in the Galley of the boat. Please note that cooking is possible only under calm conditions. If you are considering bringing alcoholic beverages, please also bring non-alcoholic beverages. Catering is available for an additional charge, however we cannot provide alcoholic beverages.
The use, possession or consumption of illegal substances on any vessel is prohibited by US Federal Law. Please do not bring illegal substances onboard.
The Captain and deck hands will ensure that your catch is of legal size and species for the location it was caught in. Please don’t ask the crew to keep any catch that is not legal. The Captain will do his best to get you plenty of legal size and species fish. The taking of non-legal fish damages the Gulf Coast Fisheries and can result in populations that won’t support game fishing in the future. Help Keep Sport Fishing Viable and Legal in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Captain has the ultimate responsibility for crew, your guests, and your safety while on board. Should you or your guests cause an unsafe condition while at sea, at anchor or moored to the dock, the Captain may return to Port, call the coast guard, police, emergency medical personnel or your emergency contacts to resolve the unsafe condition. The Captain may, at his discretion, resume the cruise once the unsafe condition has been addressed. No Refunds or Credit will be given for the cruise or unused portions of the cruise if the cruise must be canceled or ended early due to guests.
